During halftime of the Piedmont Lions' basketball game against Toccoa Falls College on Jan. 31, Lion fans and students were treated to the first co-ed halftime show of the season. The co-ed act is an annual event for the cheerleading team.
In addition to the hard-working girls, several guys came out and were able to experience the life of a cheerleader.
"The thing that surprised me the most was the mental toughness of the sport," says freshman co-ed cheerleader Jeron Bargen. "The performance was fun and I thought we did a phenomenal job."
Bargen and the rest of the men don't regret any part of the experience.
"It was tough, but I would do it again," says Bargen.
