Over the winter break, Habersham County opened up new restaurants. One of these is Pueblos in Clarkesville. You may think that we have enough Mexican restaurants in the area, but I agree with the Pueblos' slogan, this is "not just another Mexican restaurant."

The feel of Pueblos is not like the average restaurant. It is a stylish, fancy restaurant with a Mexican twist. It is chic. The chairs look like they are made of logs and they fit nicely into the setting and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Every time I go to a Mexican restaurant, I get cheese dip, or queso. It was so good that I didn't want to start eating my meal until the cheese dip was gone.

When I was trying to decide what to eat, I had an extremely hard time because everything sounded so good. For my meal, I ordered the Chimichanga. It was deep fried and covered in cheese dip. It was delicious.

Pueblos is a well-known Mexican chain in North Georgia. I have eaten at the restaurant in Dahlonega, Ga. and believe that the food in Clarkesville is a lot better. After eating at both restaurants, there are a lot of things that are different. The atmosphere of the restaurant in Dahlonega is like every other Mexican restaurant. It's strange that the feel of the restaurants differ even in the same chain.

My favorite part of going to Pueblos was the service. My glass was never empty and my chip basket was always full. I went to the restaurant after I ate there to get a take-home menu. They were polite and treated me respectfully.

I really enjoyed my experience at Pueblos and will definitely go back in the future. If you want Mexican cuisine, but want something different , Pueblos is the place for you.

Pueblos is located in the Clarkesville square right next to the Habersham Community Theatre. It is open for lunch and dinner. Lunch is only offered from Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
