Campus Activity Board

The Campus Activity Board is a club on campus that allows students to plan events on campus. Fall semester 2009, it sponsored 25 different events on campus.
Crazy Olympics attracted 82 students, or 17.8 percent of the school boarders.
CAB sponsored a trip to a Gwinnett Braves game. 12.6% of the student population attended the event.
At senior overnight, 21.7 percent of the school boarders attended the festivities.

Resident Life

Resident Life events are sponsored by the team of resident assistants in the dorms.
Each RA is responsible for creating events for students who live in the dorms.
While these events usually draw less people, they operate on smaller budgets as well. Many of the resident life events are done at almost no cost to the college. By having these economic events, student affairs can budget for the larger events that attract more students.

Night at the
movies

Movie nights at Habersham Hills Cinemas always draw a crowd. Fall semester of 2009 sported five trips to the cinema. One event included a trip to the midnight premier of Twilight: New Moon.

Sports:
Bringing it all
together

Sports tend to bring people together at Piedmont. The tailgating event last semester had 100 attendees.
The powderpuff football game had 54 participants. That is 12 percent of boarders that Piedmont had at the time.
Intermurals also works closely with residence life to provide activities for students. Last semester, students could sign up for two separate leagues. One was touch football held on the quad. Three-on-three basketball was also started last November.
